Wild Pantry Named a Finalist in the Merseyside Independent Business Awards

We’ve got some lovely news from the fermentary!

Wild Pantry has been named a finalist in the Best Start Up category at the 2026 Merseyside Independent Business Awards.

The awards celebrate independent businesses from across the Liverpool City Region, so being recognised here at home means a lot to us.

Wild Pantry started in Liverpool in 2025 with a simple idea. Make fermented food and drinks that taste delicious and make them easier to bring into everyday life (not just for ferment lovers).

Since then, we’ve made and sold over 10,000 products from our bottles of Water Kefir to our jars of our raw, unpasteurised ferments. We’ve grown from markets into independent shops across Merseyside, launched local home delivery and we’re now getting ready to send our jars across the UK.

It’s been a busy first year, being shortlisted for Best Start Up feels like a lovely marker of how far Wild Pantry has come in a short space of time.

A huge thank you to everyone who has bought a bottle, picked up a jar, visited us at a market, stocked Wild Pantry or told someone about us.
