Gut health doesn’t need to be complicated. You don’t need to cut everything out or follow strict diets. You just need to start adding in the right things.
Here’s how to start supporting your gut:
1. Eat more plants
Aim for 30 different plants a week. That includes herbs, nuts, seeds, fruit, veg, pulses and grains. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about variety. Gut microbes thrive on diversity.
2. Add fermented foods
Fermented foods like kraut, kefir and salsa bring in live microbes. That helps balance the gut and support digestion. Even just a few spoonfuls or a small glass a day can help.

3. Drink more water
Hydration supports digestion and helps the gut lining stay healthy. If you struggle with plain water, herbal teas or water kefir are great alternatives.
4. Cut back on ultra-processed food
It’s not about perfection, just reducing the things that feed unhelpful gut bacteria. Watch out for emulsifiers, sweeteners and additives in packaged foods.
5. Stay consistent
Your gut likes routine. Try eating meals around the same time each day and including fermented foods regularly, not just now and then.
These small steps can make a big difference. You don’t need a clean slate. You just need a plan that fits your real life.
If you want to start, grab one of our Water Kefir Packs or jars and try adding a little each day. It’s about building habits, not chasing hacks.
